Description

Environmentally sustainable design (ESD) is the practice of designing property and infrastructure to achieve minimal impact on the natural environment during construction and operation.

Other considerations will be discussed, including recent and upcoming changes to the National Construction Code that will substantially affect the energy efficiency requirements of new buildings in Western Australia.

The session will share information on recent ESD examples in WA and other states, and explore opportunities to progress ESD outcomes in WA, including the potential to establish a regular Local Government forum.
