Following the Grenfell Tower tragedy in 2017, the cladding used on buildings has become a significant issue around the world. Here in Western Australia, LGIS and WALGA have been investigating building cladding and the potential ramifications for Local Governments.

WALGA and LGIS, are pleased to invite Local Government CEO’s and senior managers to join us for breakfast as we explore the building cladding issues faced in WA.

Speaking at this event will be Ray Chitty, Head of Insurance Service for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea; City of Westminster; and London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, who will speak on the in-house insurance response and his experiences in dealing with the Grenfell Tower tragedy. Matthew Reid, a Partner at law firm Jackson McDonald will also present the findings of the recent Building Cladding Report commissioned by LGIS and WALGA.
