Elected Member Economic Development Workshops

Elected Member Economic Development Workshops
11 Sep
27 Sep

Description

Economic development has been a growing focus for Local Governments in recent years as communities are challenged to respond to structural changes in the WA economy.

WALGA is currently undertaking a project to facilitate a strategic approach to economic development in the sector. The project aims to establish a Local Government Economic Development Framework based on current research and practice about the role of the sector in economic development and the creation of sustainable communities.

We are undertaking research and collecting data to help inform the project and identify the best way that we can support the sector in this area.

The engagement of Elected Members is crucial to the next stage of the project. WALGA invites Elected Members to participate in one of the following workshops.
