2021 WA State Natural Resource Management and Coastal Conference

2021 WA State Natural Resource Management and Coastal Conference

Description

Seeking Expressions of Interest to Host

WALGA, in partnership with the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage and the State Natural Resource Management Office within the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, is seeking to appoint a host for the next WA State Natural Resource Management and Coastal Conference to be held in 2021.

The conference attracts around 200 delegates from community and not-for profit groups, Local Government, State Government, academia and industry. The event is an important opportunity to focus on the challenges and opportunities in planning and managing our natural resources, both inland and at the coast. It seeks to inspire, inform and connect people, and showcase and celebrate the huge amount of work being done to plan, manage and protect our highly valued landscapes and coasts.

This will be the third time the conference will been held, and have built upon previously separate and well-established NRM and Coastal conferences.
The event has potential to bring many positive benefits to the host and local community, providing a unique opportunity to showcase a local area, creating a great sense of partnership and connection within the local and broader community, and providing a significant boost to the local economy.

Guidelines and further information can be found  HERE.

Expressions of interest is sought from interested Local Governments and regional bodies, including partnerships or consortia, and nominations close Monday, 11 May 2020.
