Overview

The Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) qualification is a fully accredited nationally recognised qualification that has been customised specifically for WA Local Government.

The program is aimed at building the capabilities of procurement professionals in Local Government, increasing the profile of procurement in WA Local Government, and giving members professional development goals to aim for.

Target Audience

The Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) is targeted at practicing procurement professionals who would like to develop their skills and knowledge of procurement and achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

Learning Outcomes

This qualification will develop the knowledge and skills to enable you to:

  • Plan, conduct and manage procurement processes
  • Develop and manage contracts for the delivery of goods and services
  • Identify, plan for and manage risks in the procurement process, and
  • Exercise delegations.

You will gain a clear understanding of the ethical, legislative and policy framework which regulates Local Government procurement and contracting processes and will be able to conduct your procurement and contracting activities within the rules.
