Tammie Deshon is currently the Road Safety Project Officer (Child Car Restraints) with WALGA’s Roadwise Program. Tammie coordinates the state-wide Child Car Restraint Type 1 Fitting network, and provides Type 1 Fitter training for Local Government, state government agencies, community organisations and independent community members. In her role she is a member of the Western Australia’s Child Car Restraint Reference Group, and provides ongoing support and advice to Local Government, organisations and community members regarding child car restraints. Tammie has worked for over five years in the field of road safety. Prior to her current role, she worked as a Road Safety Officer within Local Government in the United Kingdom, focusing on the area of child pedestrian safety. Tammie has also worked in Health Promotion roles within Western Australia, both in Local Government and a Division of General Practice. Tammie has completed a Bachelor of Science (Health Promotion) degree.
