WALGA is working to deliver practical, high quality waste management training for Local Government Elected Members and Officers.

WALGA’s waste management training pathway has been developed by industry experts and encompasses an introductory eLearning course Waste 101 and a nationally accredited Certificate III in Waste Management delivered and assessed by Illuminate Group (RTO 52022).

Environment & Waste Management
Learning and Development Pathway

Stage 1

• Waste 101: Introduction to Waste Management
  This free eLearning introductory program is designed to provide information on key waste and recycling concepts, programs and policy, people and organisations, and legislation.

Stage 2

• CPP30711 - Certificate III in Waste Management
  This nationally recognised qualification has been developed for those working in waste management within Local Government or the private sector, and provides a hands-on approach covering a broad range of different areas of waste management.

This qualification is delivered and assessed by Illuminate Group (RTO 52022).
