This Preferred Supplier Contract provides access to Government Open Licensing and Enterprise Licensing for Microsoft Software.
Each Preferred Supplier appointed to the Panel is a Microsoft Large Account Reseller (LAR) for the supply of Microsoft software licenses, products and associated services.
Benefits of participation in the Microsoft Licensing Agreement come through access to media, administrative efficiencies, software assurance, and full compliance.
The WALGA Panel complements this with managed assistance and specialist software advice that will ensure each Local Government’s software procurement is aligned to the prescribed business needs and available budgetary resources.
Local Government licensing purchases are available under this Contract in the following categories:
- Desktops / Laptops (personal computers and notebooks): all versions of Microsoft Office and operating system are available for access at current release levels.
- Servers: all versions of software are available at current release levels and software assurance is inclusive on relevant products.
- Additional Products: all versions are available at current release levels and have software assurance on some products.
WALGA has appointed three (3) companies to its Panel. Each company has access to Microsoft Government pricing structures with a suite of value added products and services available. This includes Enterprise licensing at approximately 15-20% below the Government Recommended Price. Additional Benefits through the Enterprise licensing include reporting and deployment benefits, training, technical support benefits, and home use rights.
