The Local Government Professional Development Forum on Health and Wellbeing has been organised by WALGA to provide a range of information on health and wellbeing to Local Government Elected Members and Officers.

The Forum will include the following presentations:
UN Sustainable Development Goals and Public Health
A presentation on the the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and how they can be applied to health and wellbeing in Local Governments.
Dr Anthony Capon, Planetary Health Professor, University of Sydney
Antimicrobial Resistance and Local Government
AMR GLOBAL ED INC. (formerly Lab Without Walls Inc) is an Australian not-for-profit organisation which emerged out of a series of health development projects in in remote parts of Australia and overseas. This presentation will give you information on AMR Global Ed Inc and their latest activities.
Dr Barry Mendelawitz, Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Project Leader, AMR Global Ed Inc.
Also included in the program are case studies; updates on the latest in rural, regional and Aboriginal health; presentations on the health benefits of playing in nature. Please see the program for detailed information.
A trade expo will be available for participants to view during breaks, eaturing providers of health, wellbeing support and products for Local Governments.
