Coastal Climate Change Forum

Description

WALGA, LGIS and the Local Government Coastal Hazard Risk Management Adaptation Forum, are hosting a free Coastal Climate Change presentation from coastal expert Angus Gordon. Angus will present on coastal management and planning issues, coastal adaptation and his experiences in NSW and how it relates to WA.

The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with Angus and representatives from LGIS, the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage and the Department of Treansport where you will have an opportunity to ask questions on topics related to coastal hazard risk management and adaptation planning.

The Forum will be followed by the Local Government CHRMAP Forum meeting for Local Government members and those who may be interested.

There will also be a number of site visits in the morning to coastal hotspots in the Cities of Stirling and Joondalup. If you are interested please email Craig Perry or call 9213 2049.
