Climate Change Risk and Liability Forum

Climate Change Risk and Liability Forum

Description

Please join us for this fantastic opportunity to hear from businesses and Local Governments that are preparing for climate change as part organisational governance.  This Forum will provide information on how to actively prepare for climate change as a business priority, to enable capitalisation on opportunities, lower risk, and limit exposure to future liability.  Expert speakers for the day include the Hon Cheryl Edwardes AM, and representatives from Curtin University and the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council.

Information presented will include:
• embedding climate change considerations in organisational governance
• factoring climate change projections in insurance schemes
• modification of urban planning development controls for coastal adaptation
• understanding and managing the flood risk of river systems
• responding to impacts on health and wellbeing at the local level

The event program is available here.
