Bushfire Planning and Biodiversity Management

Bushfire Planning and Biodiversity Management
22 Feb
10 Mar

Description

Please join us for this fantastic opportunity to hear from organisations and land managers experienced in the challenge of balancing bushfire risk and the conservation of biodiversity values in natural areas. Attendees will learn about bushfire risk assessments and management plans for strategic planning proposals, development applications and bushland areas.

Attendees will also hear about the fire requirements of different vegetation complexes, and the ecological impacts of fire on restoration programs and wildlife. Local Governments will provide case studies of the challenges encountered and learning from applying the various regulations and policy requirements in practice.

The event will include a morning tea and lunch break where attendees can meet and network with others in their field, and question sessions with all presenters.
